Family mission trips
There are many opportunities for your family to serve together from working in our primary school, serving meals, teaching or leading P.E. There are a variety of mid-week outreach programs we hold within different villages, leading kids to youth Bible studies. We have a large gated guesthouse on our compound in the village allowing you and your family to easily interact with the children and families in the community on a daily basis.
It's amazing to watch children from America, UK, Europe and other countries just playing with the children we serve and witness kids just being kids and making friends.
Customized Dates
Our family trips can be customizable, meaning you can come when the kids are out of school, spring, winter or summer break or anytime of the year that works for you. Or your family can join in on our medical camp or Empower Youth Camp trips.
A New Family
Once you arrive, you will join people from all over the world assisting with the weekly outreach and educational programs.
You will find it an enriching experience to meet new friends from all over the world as you live together, minister together, share meals together and learn about different cultures.
Even though you’re thousands of miles from home as a volunteer you will find an amazing sense of community and form lifelong bonds with other volunteers and our national staff.
Costs
We try to make the cost of our trips as reasonable as possible. If this trip is God’s will then He will provide you with the necessary funding. Click here for some helpful fundraising ideas.
Administration Fee - $225 *This is due to the U.S. office two weeks after your applications is approved. This is only required for the adults coming on the trip.
In addition to the administration fee, there is a mission fee payable to Empower a Child based on the length of time you plan to serve:

All children 14 years old and below are half price.
Mission fees are due to the U.S. office at least 45 days prior to arrival in Africa.
